The fork above might look like an obscene gesture (oh, we've had some laughs about this) but they're made by a man at the flea market out of old silver forks. They're pickle pickers. ($2.50)He is so creative and makes a ton of things all out of sterling forks. I also got these earrings from him. ($6.50)
After buying some vintage postcards, I went back to him for this old shoemaker's shoe with attached fork ($6.50). Its for business cards, but I thought it would be perfect to display the postcards. It had 7 1/2 on it and I had to get that one because that's my shoe size. ;-)
Here's one of the postcards I got. Its a Valentine's Day card from 1927 and it was made in Germany. I also got one for Christmas, New Years and Easter. $2 each.
After sharing my chicken collection last week, I thought I was through with chickens. My shelves were full. Then, I came across this little lady that was so tiny that it fit in the palm of my hand.
I couldn't resist and she now has a home among the other chickens. ($5.)
I was so excited by this find. Mason jars with crowns on them! I'd seen them before on another blog I think and wondered how that person had gotten so lucky. I couldn't believe I found them. I wish I could have bought them all!
The top is also glass and bears a crown.
I didn't notice it when I bought them, but the bottom of each jar is embossed with a year. One was 1930 and the other was 1945.
I probably would have gotten more, but my trip was cut short by a HUGE find. Check back tomorrow to check it out ...
