I initially planned to paint them white, but after priming, I wasn't happy with how plain it looked. Then I thought, why white? Every other piece of furniture in the room is white. So, I pulled out the bedding my Happy Girl will have once her crib is converted to a bed - Target Shabby Chic Bedding - and looked over the colors. The room is blue. I try to avoid pink since with girls there is inevitably always pink somewhere. Ultimately, I decided to paint them a shade of green that is in the bedding. I took the leftover paint from my potting bench project and doubled the amount of white.
I changed the simple knob it had to the Anthropologie rose knob that is also on the painted dresser.
See all those little holes on the side of the tabletop? This table used to have arms that would open out when the drawer was opened. I have no idea what happened to those arms, but they're long gone. Their purpose was to move the skirt that was around the table. The holes are remnants of the tacks used to hold the skirt. I wish I still had those arms because I think this table would look great with a billowy white ruffled skirt.
Finally, here's how they looked before...

I just have to mention ... My spa day yesterday was wonderful and mom and I had a great time. I had never had a facial before and I can't wait to do that again! Not only was it relaxing, but today when I looked in the mirror after my shower, I couldn't believe how incredible my skin looked! If you have an opportunity to ever do this, go for it!
